On the Courts <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sign-up doubles attendance has been strong as 15 players were at a session last week.  Sign-up doubles is on Mon, Wed, and Fri from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.  Email Steven Mayze at mayzestev@yahoo.com<\/u><\/a> to join the group.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday evening doubles (6-8 PM) has been dormant.  A shared spreadsheet was sent to members that showed interest in playing, but the sign-up rate has been low.  If you are interested in starting this activity up again, please let me know. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Court Equipment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past few years Club member Peter Davidson has been repairing the court benches and tables on his own time.  That includes wood replacement and painting.  The Club gave Peter a small token of our appreciation for his excellent work on August 17th.  Thanks again Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round Robin and Lunch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Round Robin and pizza lunch social event was held July 25.  Thanks to Kevin and Nicole Nussey who organized the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A season ending Round Robin and pizza lunch is scheduled for Sep 19 at 10 AM.  Register by email to Steven Mayze at mayzestev@yahoo.com<\/u><\/a>.  The cost is $15 per player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2026 Lessons<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A set of six lessons for beginner juniors and adults were held in late May and early June.  A one day Intermediate\/Advanced Clinic was held June 20th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interclub Round Robin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Interclub Round Robin is scheduled for September 12th in Southampton at 1 PM.  Rain date is Sep 13. See below for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members from Wiarton, Kincardine, Walkerton, Hanover, Goderich and Southampton Clubs are invited to join this fun event.   You do not need to have a partner:  We will mix up members from different clubs to start the afternoon.  Every 15 minutes, we will be changing partners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterwards, we will be heading to The Outlaw brew pub for beverages and\/or dinner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Court Reservations <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Court reservations are filling up for morning weekday slots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Court reservations can be made by emailing info@kincardinetennisclub.com by 6:00 PM Sunday.  The maximum court reservation block is 2 hours.  The court schedule is posted weekly on the Club’s website at Info\\Events, Lessons and Court Schedule.  The link is at https:\/\/kincardinetennisclub.com\/?page_id=215.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Court reservations are not required, but members with reservations have priority over members that drop in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pickleball <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unauthorized taped pickleball lines were placed on Court 1 in August and were subsequently removed by members.  Alterations to the courts for pickleball are not permitted.  If you come across this situation please inform a member of the Club executive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
