Season Opening April 13<\/strong><\/p>\n

The nets went up April 13, 4 days later than last year.\u00a0 Thanks to Jerry Fabian, Mark Owens and Josh Howald for opening the courts.\u00a0 There are no restrictions to playing.<\/p>\n

The membership drive is on, and a copy of the registration form is attached.\u00a0 Print out the form to sign it, and either scan it, or take a cell phone picture and return to info@kincardinetennisclub.com.\u00a0 Payment can be made by etransfer to the same email address, or contact myself, Eva Pyszczynska, or Doug Holtby if you want to pay by another method.\u00a0 The Executive contact information is on the website. \u00a0Currently 45 members have registered.<\/p>\n

No shoe tag labels will be issued this year.\u00a0 There are very few times members need to provide proof of membership to access a court.\u00a0 Your etransfer receipt is considered proof of membership.<\/p>\n

Tennis Club members have priority access to the courts if they are full.\u00a0 If you ever have difficulty accessing a court occupied by non-members, call one of the Executive to discuss.<\/p>\n

Court Maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n

The courts appear to have weathered the winter well.\u00a0 Paint patching will continue.<\/p>\n

There are still three lights out. The Club is in talks with the town to have the lights replaced.<\/p>\n

The benches will return to the courts next week.\u00a0 The tables, and windscreens will be installed in May.<\/p>\n

Group Play<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Sign-up doubles is underway on Mon, Wed, and Fri from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.\u00a0 Jerry Dvorak has agreed to continue to coordinate this group.\u00a0 Email Jerry at jsdvorak77@gmail.com to join the group.<\/p>\n

Tuesday drop-in doubles from 6-8 PM begins May 6.\u00a0 Drop-in doubles will be on Thursday nights, if the Tuesday session is rained out.\u00a0 Drop-in doubles works just like it sounds, just drop in and you will be paired with different partners to play as long as you want.<\/p>\n

Tennis Instruction<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beginner group tennis lessons are scheduled for May, 24, 31 and June 7.\u00a0 Rain dates are the following days. There are 3 separate groups, ages 5-10, 11-17, and adult at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 PM respectively.\u00a0 Currently there are nine students ages 5-10, six ages 11-17, and seven adults.\u00a0 More registrations will be accommodated with additional instructors.\u00a0 The cost is $45 per student.\u00a0 To register, email info@kincardinetennisclub.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pickleball 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no pickleball program in 2025 due to low attendance in 2024.\u00a0 This means there are no reserved times for pickleball, no pickleball nets stored at the courts, and no pickleball lines will be painted on Court 3.<\/p>\n

Pickleball is permitted using a tennis net if the courts aren\u2019t filled.\u00a0 The nets are not to be altered in any way for pickleball.\u00a0 No pickleball is permitted during a scheduled Club activity, like Sign-up or Drop-in doubles.<\/p>\n

Social Doubles<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>A doubles round robin and lunch will be scheduled in the summer similar to the successful round robin held last year.<\/p>\n

Club T-shirts<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>A group order of Club T-shirts will take place earlier this year.\u00a0 You will receive a message detailing the order process.<\/p>\n

Court Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>A weekly court schedule will be posted on the website beginning May 5.\u00a0 The guidelines for reserving a court follow:<\/p>\n
