Etiquette and Covid 19 Safety Plan

To enhance the enjoyment of the game and the safe use of the tennis club facilities, all players are requested to observe the following rules and common courtesies:

  • Do not interfere with other players who are playing a point
  • Wait until between points before crossing behind another court in play
  • When a ball from another court lands in your court, play a let
  • Do not enter another court to retrieve your ball, they will return it in due course
  • No foul language or overly boisterous play should be used
  • Proper tennis footwear must be used (no sandals or bare feet)
  • No skateboards, rollerblades, or bikes are allowed on the courts
  • Turn off the lights if you are the last player leaving at night
  • Guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 include:
  • Don’t sit on the benches, bring your own lawn chairs if you want to sit between games
  • Maintain a distance of at least 2 meters between all players
  • Bring your own hand sanitizer and use often
  • Do not play if you have any flu or cold-like symptoms
  • If you have tested positive for Covid-19 do not play until you have been cleared with a negative test by the Grey Bruce Health Unit
  • No spectators are allowed inside the fence
